ASUS Eee D200 is powered by Intel's Atom processor

The recently leaked to the Internet and requested to be present at ASUS 'booth at CES in Las Vegas, Nevada, on the Eee D200 seems to be one of the next nettops. Apart from the fact that it is equipped with an Intel Atom N270, and the package 2 GB DDR2-533MHz memory, the specifications of the Eee D200 units are slightly different than what you normally find in some of these nettop systems. One of the main things that sets D200 from all other nettops device supports up to 2TB of storage space, the two 3.5-inch SATA HDD for RAID configuration.
The rear panel is also equipped with four USB 2.0 ports, a DVI connector, audio ports and four Ethernet LAN ports, and in addition to the WAN port. Put it all together, we have more and more reasons to believe that the Eee D200 has been designed as ASUS 'Eee solution for home media servers. But it has not yet confirmed when the company finally decides that the product is officially notified.
Other features include an elegant look, slot loading DVD optical drive and built-in screen, which allegedly provide the ability to touch. Not much to go on prices at the moment, but the latest reports suggests Eee D200 could intervene in the market for about $600.
The nettop could be launched at the upcoming CeBIT show in Hanover, Germany, due to begin in March, when the company decides to rush to launch and officially reveal that sometimes before March 3.
