New ASUS W90 is a gaming rig monster
Written by IT News on 9:58 PMASUS has recently introduced its latest notebook computer that is specifically designed to provide gaming enthusiasts with a new high-performance solution that provides the necessary power required by the latest gaming applications.
Simply dubbed W90, the new portable could seriously compete with some of the high-end gaming PC market, since it is built with the latest in portable computer, which is a combination of solutions of the major chip makers, including Intel, NVIDIA and AMD. Taiwanese company is continuing with respect to claims that its new portable computer is able to provide the jaw dropping 3D Mark 2006 score 15,000 points.
With the new version of the ASUS is basically pushing the envelope on the portable gaming market and provides a solution that could set the company as one of the main competitors against leaders such as Dell, HP and Alienware. The W90 was designed to support two graphics ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4870 X2 graphics solution, which ultimately enables the 18.4-inch widescreen notebook to achieve an impressive 3D Mark score 15,000 points. The system can also be fitted with other graphics solutions, including NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GS graphics chip and ATI Mobility HD 3850 graphics with CrossFireX technology.
In W90, which is based on Intel X38 chipset and ICH10R combo, may be included in four different Intel Core 2 Duo processors, including the T9600, T9400, P8600 and P8400, the choice of users. Up to 6 GB of DDR2 memory to be installed on 3-SO-DIMM slots, while the size of the display can also be configured to 17-inches. On the storage side ASUS W90 can double hard drive solutions of up to 1TB storage space.
In addition, the notebook is equipped with a 2MP webcam, 802.11 Proposal N wireless, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet and 5.1 channel speakers, Altec Lansing. On the port side, users will be able to use 1 HDMI, an e-SATA, four USB 2.0 ports, IEEE 1394, VGA-out, 8-in-1 memory card reader, Express Card and IR.
Unfortunately, W90, as shown in the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, is still for sale.
